I happened upon this author as a recommendation based on another book I read. I did a little digging and decided I should really check out her first book rather than the one recommended. That way if I liked the author I’d have a whole new series to read. Boy howdy was that a good idea. Bitter is the New Black started out a little slow for me. I was all – this chick is a B-word but I kept going figuring based on the title surely she was about to get her comeuppance and boy did she but by then I wasn’t relishing in her downfall. I’d come to really appreciate and even like her. I’m so glad I stuck it out. I ended up loving the book and have now read the second in the series. I’m looking forward to reading all the rest of them.
